Sports Days

The rain held off and the sun even shone for our Nursery, Reception, KS1 and KS2 Sports Days giving way to a variety of sporting events and healthy competition. Putting into practice the athletic skills they have acquired this term, all children competed in a variety of track and field events.

Sports Day long jump

Nursery and Reception took part in a range of activities including: balancing a ball on a tennis racket, throwing bean bags into hoops, speed bounce and the standing long jump. KS1 and KS2 participated in long jump, speed bounce, vortex throw, long and short distance running. It was fantastic to see pupils competing in their Aspiration Family Houses; an event that really celebrates each Family and brings the whole school community together. It was wonderful that so many parents and carers were able to join us throughout the week for an event that our pupils thoroughly enjoy.

So for the results: Yellow Family won key stage 1 sports day and Blue Family won key stage 2 sports day. Once the points were added for both sports days we were delighted to announce that Yellow Family were the overall winners for our 2017 sports day event. Well done to everyone who took part!
