    Mosque launches Community Fridge

    Our Head and Deputy Head Pupils in Year 6 represented Dashwood at the launch of a brand new community project led by Banbury Mosque. Working with Santuary Housing and Hello Fresh, the Mosque have launched their ‘Community Fridge’. Sitting just outside the Mosque, there is a fridge and shelves full of fresh food which is open to all in need free of charge from 9am-7pm daily. What a great community we are part of! Read more

    To mark the 100 year anniversary, pupils have been completing activities such as making poppies and learning the grave details behind WW1. The pupils have shown maturity and understanding towards the subject and have learned that we have to be so grateful for the lives that were given to enable us to live free and safe. Read more

We are continuing to build links with these remarkable members of the community as they will be visiting the school in the next few weeks to listen to pupils read and share stories of the past.     Rock UK rocks with Year 6!

    Year 6 have been having a fantastically fun time on their week-long residential trip to Rock UK near Northampton. They have tried their hand at many new and exciting activities including archery, abseiling, climbing and canoeing. The teamwork activities have demonstrated our Aspirations' value of belonging and the children (and staff!) have been so brave and to conquer their fears, showing they really do have confidence to take action.
