Term 4

Science, car creativity and counting 

What an exciting last few weeks Year 1 have had! We have completed a science experiment about materials for rain shelters with some brave volunteers as well as designing and creating our own moving cars as part of our toy topic.

We have also started to work on our numbers to 50, using the language of tens and ones. In addition to this, Year 1 have also created incredible instructions on how to make the victorian toy the Thaumatrope.

Sharing Toys with friends

The children in year 1 have had a great start to their toy topic. They thoroughly enjoyed sharing their favourite toy with their friends and telling us all about them. It was lovely to see them playing so nicely together.
