Year 5 WOW! – Viking Battle

Year 5 had a phenomenal afternoon creating their Viking Battle! This term, they have enjoyed learning about the first Viking invasion at Lindisfarne when the Vikings migrated from the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Sweden and Denmark to find new land to farm on in Great Britain. Year 5 pupils have used sources to learn about Viking weaponry, battle techniques and formations. With their fantastic home learning creations and the helmets that we created in school, they were ready for battle! Beech and Sycamore class each created their own unique longship figurehead used to taunt the enemy! Through freeze frame drama, pupils re-enacted some battle scenes that they have learned so much about.

A wonderful WOW afternoon was had by all!
