Pupil-Led Dashwood Newspaper
As part of our pupil-led initiatives, our pupils were passionate about writing their own Dashwood Newspaper. Inspired by Dashwood newspapers from the 1980’s that we found in our school archives (when celebrating Dashwood’s 120 years), our pupils decided to form a News Team and considered what roles would need to be filled. After an interview process, a team was formed of editors, reporters and photographers who have since been working tirelessly to bring news reports, interesting articles and competitions to our school community. They are keen to report on events that happen in school but also share community events, and pupil interests and achievements outside of school too!
